TAKEDOWN Content Release

TAKEDOWN Content Release
After a downtime of content, we are pleased to release a batch of screenshots on TAKEDOWN: Red Sabre, featuring two levels, HQ and Radar Base and a short re-cap of our recent VO session.

The team has been nose to the grindstone, implementing tons of features and content. But pictures speak better than words, so how about some screenshots!

Here are two of our new environments, as well as some Red Sabre teammates in action, co-op style!

First, this is the HQ map. HQ is a compound style building, with an open layout that allows you circling the building and choosing the best entry point. Thinking is really critical here, as the most obvious entries can also be death traps.

Radar Base is a raised platform Arctic research station, with a mix of CQB and long range engagements that really plays to working as a team, posting snipers to cover advances of teammates with close-range weapons.

In other news, we secured PCB productions to do our voice recording session. PCB is a leader in video game VO, and has done all the big games including Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Call of Duty, and more. Keith got us some great actors, and Matt Corboy followed through on voicing the commander, and he gave an awesome performance.

Here are some pictures from the shoot:

Lastly, many of you have seen the Call of Duty announce, with their big new hook, a dog. We knew we needed an answer for TAKEDOWN, so here is our response:

The team is locking down a build for E3 next week, where we will be showing some of this content behind closed doors to select press (of course, you get to see this first!). At the same time we are also working with a video capture company to get some gameplay footage to you, and we are working on the early-release closed gameplay testing session exclusive to Kickstarters. Look for news on it soon!

As always, you can follow, the game @Takedownthegame, and check out our Facebook page, and website for more regular updates!

Can’t wait for this! Looks awesome.

  2. This game looks to be a great new take on the genre! I am excited to see this when it releases.
Models and textures look great, and the environment as a whole looks stunning, unlike the overly dirty CoD style. Kudos on taking that approach, Serellan! I will be purchasing this game and I cannot wait to jump in.

I must ask one thing, as I enjoy sitting next to the people I am in the game with, will this be split-screen on XBLA?
